Literature Text
It glints it gleams,
a metallic silver wedge,
light highlights the weapons
razor blade edge
It overwhelms it incumbers,
carrying the burden called life.
Is it better to be free
by implementing the knife?
It sharpens it hones,
that fatal blade of strife.
with no other option it's used,
becoming the antithesis of life.
It slashed it strikes
sharp edges slice the smitten.
Internal suffering has revealed itself,
opening wounds to mirror the hidden.
It drips it trickles,
a meandering path it weaves.
That scarlet liquid,
a threatening disease.
It soils it stains,
spurting forth from wet flesh.
Wandering down the wrist onto carpet
forming a maroon mesh.
It forms it flows,
wet salty tears intermingle.
webs of pain it weaves,
and eyes begin to tingle.
It remorse's it regrets,
fog consumes the brain.
The thread of life slips
forgotten is the mundane
It calls it cries,
supplication is sought.
Hands reach out for help
none are caught.
It block it obscures,
but the desire is there.
wanting to breath begging to live,
but is anyone there to care?

Mutilation
Blood dripping from my wrists,
Coloring closed fists.
I let it bleed away
Until I see your pretty face.
And it all comes back,
I put up my mask,
Put on a show.
So they can let their worries go.
I carve the flesh
In hopes to forget.
I go to sleep
To find restless rest
In my morbid nest.
If push comes to shove
I'll tell the truth
Using the words you used
Or lack there of.
I burn the pain away,
Thinking of stupid things to say.
I'll blame it on laughs cracked
And immature acts.
I'll get laughs in return
While inside I still burn.
And memories of you
Still lay astrew.
Literature
Self-Mutilation
Sitting on the bathroom floor
A razor blade drags across her skin
Tracing the movement throuhg her veins
Forgive her father for she loves this sin
She never cuts to kill herself
Instead to ease her pain
Blood raises to the surface
And drips down like rain
No tear falls from her eye
But with a few more strokes of the blade
She becomes light-headed
And the room begins to fade
Consciousness has left her
While death whispers in her ear
She can't listen, her voice
Screaming is all she can hear
No longer praying for forgiveness
Her life is now first on her list
Looking down, I secretly
Cherish the scars upon my wrist

A Guide to Self Harm
What is self harm?
Self harm/Self Injury (SH/SI) is when an individual causes harm or inflicts injuries to their body deliberately. The most common forms of self harm include cutting yourself, burning, or hitting yourself or other objects to cause pain to yourself, pulling out hair and overdosing on tablets.
Its a common misunderstanding that self harmers are suicidal and this is not always the case!! Self harm is not always related to suicidal feelings but there are some self harmers who self harm as a way to stop themselves killing themselves but theres other self harmers who self harm to NOT kill themselves and are not relate

It was good.
But you tried adding to many longer words in there that, to me, threw the syllable count off.
But maybe you meant it that way.
People do that.
I'm just saying, it seemed off to me.
